Kirid (Recipe Keepsake) · Last updated October 8, 2026

Kirid keeps a family recipe archive on this device. There is no Kirid account, no cloud sync, and no Kirid server that receives your recipes.

Data stored on this device

Clear All Data deletes that information from Kirid, including remaining Card Credits. It does not remove images you already saved into the photo library.

Permissions

Notifications. The first time you open Recipe Vault, Kirid shows Apple’s notification permission. Allowing or declining it does not schedule alerts or register for remote notifications. Kirid does not send notifications.

Camera. Used only when you tap Scan Recipe, to photograph a handwritten card or recipe page so you can crop and file it.

Photo library. Used when you tap Import File, to choose a recipe photo. Used when you tap Save Image, to add a finished card to your library. If you decline, you can still type a recipe or keep the card inside Kirid.

Microphone and speech recognition. Used only when you tap Speak Steps, to turn spoken ingredients or steps into text. Nothing is added to the recipe until you confirm the text.

Purchases

Card Credits are bought through Apple. Apple processes the payment. Kirid records the verified transaction on this device so the credits can be added once. Kirid does not receive your payment card details.

Sharing

Kirid does not sell personal information and does not send your recipes to a Kirid service. If you use Export or the system share sheet, the content you select goes to the app you choose. If you use Save Image, the card is written to your photo library.
